Patients
Renal Patientview gives patients access to live test results online, along with info to understand them. We have had it in Edinburgh since 2005. There is also info about your kidney disease, its treatment, and copies of clinic letters about you.

Want to Join? Edinburgh patients can just download the enrolment from the foot of this page, and bring it next time you come to the hospital. Or you can email or call us: alison.stevenson@luht.scot.nhs.uk; 0131 242 1226; or renal@ed.ac.uk. We can post you a form. Not from Edinburgh? Ask at your local renal unit. There is a map of units that have RPV here. |
Staff
Renal PatientView (RPV) is available for patients attending the Edinburgh Renal and Transplant units and we strongly encourage patients to use it. It offers online access to live test results, with information to explain the tests, plus links to info on their kidney disease and the treatment they are receiving. Useful info:
- RPV website
- RPV pages at www.renal.org/rpv - background info, history, and resources for new units
- RPV blog - news about the RPV project
You can have access to it too, if you have a good reason (for instance, recruiting patients to RPV, visiting them at home, on call from home).
Questions about RPV in Edinburgh
