ERA-EDTA codes are the standard diagnostic codes used for registering patients in our local renal datasystem, and for reporting to the UK Renal Registry.

These codes determine the information links shown to patients who access information through PatientView, so it is worth coding everyone whether or no they are in the registry reports. The new codes are a big improvement on the previous (1995) version but still don't show every possibility. Previous codes are listed alongside the new ones, with recommended default mapping. Use the new ones!

This page was updated to refer to latest codes and remove previous versions in Sep 2016.
